kicking a company in the nuts over stuff like this is what drives them away from active communications .. which is also a thing people bitch about. If you want to be "in on things", this is how it goes. If you want them never to talk to anyone, then don't bitch that they never answer your posts or ask the community for input etc...

To be fair, announcing a product at least 6 years before its released, does kinda invite a little bit of friendly ribbing.
If ppl are forced to wait more than 6 months they normally declare the product vapourware

My experience of software developers is that they run on a different clock speed to the rest of us. So basically, a year to them is six years to us. Fortunately because of their infinity patience, they don't delete their entire project in a fit of rage, like us normal people would.

Again: This thread is not an announcement of Zebra3. It's been the reaction to people asking about it, and whether or not to hold off on buying Zebra2.
It's the opposite of an announcement, always was. It's "There will not be a Zebra3 anytime soon, and btw. please check out Zebra2, it won't go away anytime soon either".
When I said "at least 6 months until we'll see anything" was meant to say: It'll take some time until *anything* shapes up. In the meantime we have shown concepts, we've developed and demonstrated technologies, we've posted UI mockups and what not. So this "anything" has happened, and it has started to happen years ago. So please don't tell me that six months have turned into six years.
