FR: Make the Sample List easier to read

In the Sample List, I find it a bit difficult to get to the data that I want to change - I think that that is because the data layout is irregular (as in the upper screenshot).

I have mocked up a few ideas in the lower screenshot - to me it looks much clearer.

Yep, agreed. I would also bring the left-right buttons closer to each other.

definitely "cleaner". might then need colors to discern line types

Thanks for the mock up. I see what you're getting at, and you do make a good point. Unfortunately, changing the list layout into maintaining a full grid is way trickier that one might think, so I'll have to put this on hold for a while.
But I like at least some of the ideas, and in the long run it might actually make the code easier to maintain as well, so I'll look into it.
