Depending on your setup, there will be a folder called something like C:\Program Files\IK Multimedia\SampleTank 2.5\Instruments. (It's possible that, instead of Program Files, that IK Multimedia folder might be in your Documents.) That's where all your instruments, and subfolders of instruments, should be. If you still can't find it, search the drive where you think you've stashed them for .stw or .stip files.
Once you've found where they actually are, open Prefs and browse to that folder, click OK, and then Relist. In a minute or so, you should have some instruments listed in the panel just to the left of the Relist button. Anything with a hollow triangle is a folder; click on it to go deeper in, until you find something listed with a black triangle; that's an actual instrument. Double-click on it to load it into a selected instrument slot (the sixteen slots to the left of the instrument list).
