Yep, following on from my glue thread, i finally tried this, and the new beta validates and works nicely in logic 64.
This is a beautiful piece of work Fabien. It seems incredibly transparent to my ear.. is that the way it was designed? ---- Please call me Theo. |

It seems incredibly transparent to my ear.. is that the way it was designed? Thank you! Yes, it's designed to preserve the original "quality" as much as possible while still allowing super fast and "controlled" compression. Check the multi-rate chapter in the manual, it explains a few concepts. @realmarco: Thanks! Enjoy! |

Amazing update! Sounds very good as we would expect, and I like the GUI, looks very good! Thank you for making it free! By the way, is it you who programmed the plugin? If so, why doing it for free? |

Yes, I programmed it. Why I do it for free? Oh no, that's a misunderstanding TBH, I do it for "free" beta testing and promotion. Sooner or later, I will release "snob" editions of my plug-ins. They will basically offer 2-3 additional features and the good feeling to support the right thing.. lol ..in exchange for a small fee. This has several advantages for both the interested user and me. The community gets access to my tools and helps me to spread the word and "stabilize" the software. I don't need to create time-consuming demo versions, but I'm pretty sure that professional users and other truly convinced people will be happy to buy the "deluxe" edition. I think it's a friendly and realistic approach in 2013. |

I'll be first in line to exchange a small fee, Fabien! It's like you created the compressor that only existed in my imaginary plugin collection. ---- perception: the stuff reality is made of. |

I bought the Rough Rider Pro compressor off the strength of the free version a little while back myself, and I'd be more than happy to support your work by purchasing a sensibly priced deluxe model should such a thing appear. Congratulations on the OSX release too! Many Mac-friends of mine are happy this evening. |

NICE business model Fabien. Given how good the current "standard" edition is, I can't wait for the "deluxe" edition, which I will happily purchase. Any hints on your plans for the additional features....? |

Not yet, let me sort out the last beta issues first. Also, two other processors still wait for their final polishing and release. |

I know there are specialist tools out there like Compassion which offer everything, but TDR is likely the most well-featured dynamics processor I've personally used. Look forward to hearing what you come up with. |

Thank you! Don't worry, I definitely won't clutter the "deluxe" editions with tons of irrelevant mad professor options.. ..just a few truly sexy features |

I think it's a friendly and realistic approach in 2013. yep, sounds great and fair. It is clear to anyone who tries this that you are obviously a talented dsp programmer. My i ask is there any chance of a zero latency mode? 4.1 millisecond on logic's master bus will make sample accurate audio editing impossible, as on the master bus logic's playhead will be out by that amount in samples.. quite a few! It's a logic problem apple will never fix, so i learn never to put anything on a master bus with latency. It could be good to have a NON OS realtime mode with an option for OS rendering. ---- Please call me Theo. |
