Blue Cat DX plugins not registering

Hi,
I recently purchased TrakaxPc for simple video and audio editing. It includes some of the free Blue Cat plugins as part of the install. I can't get them to show in the software however. Trakax support suggested I install the plugins from the Blue Cat site, which I have done. Trakax is 32 bit so I installed the 32 bit DX plugins, but they still won't show.
I got them to show in the Blue Cat DXi plugin manager, but only by booting into safe mode and unregistering and reregistering the dll's. They don't show in DXman (another directx utility) or Trakax.
I have Sonar X2 also and the plugins show as soft synths if MIDI is enabled in DXi but not as effects, which is what I would ideally want them for.
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. I also have Trakax installed on a laptop running Windows 7 32 bit and the plugins show fine.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what might be blocking the DX plugins from registering correctly.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
It looks like the plug-ins are properly registered, but you probably need to use the DXi manager to disable their MIDI input capabilities. Some software does not recognise the plug-ins when they have MIDI capabilities: they are considered as synthesisers in this case.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried turning the Midi off but the plugins still don't show up. It must be a glitch with my system or directx installation for some reason maybe
everything else works ok though.
I'll keep trying different things and post back if I find a solution.

This looks strange. Have you contacted the developers of the host application to check with them?

Yes I contacted them but no other users seemed to have the same problem. I've subsequently tried some other DX plugins from Sony and dspfx and they don't register properly either.
Might do a repair install and see if that works if I can't get to the bottom of it.

This looks indeed like a system issue if absolutely no plug-in works. But if our plug-ins can be seen by Sonar X2, maybe it's an issue with the host application and Windows x64?
