Hey folks, I am new to M4L and was wondering if people could list out some "must have" devices for it, or maybe link me to some lists that contain the best projects?
Thank you!!
Thank you!!

The Morph series (jMorph ParameterMorph, etc.), payware but cheap and the kind of device I originaly bought m4L for, but hat to wait three years to arrive.
Density m4L
and the m4L essentials of course.
As for maxforlive.com, I strongly suggest you go there when you know what you are looking for. There's a lot of stuff there, but many redundancies, and the names are not intuitive. If you download away, you'll have no idea what does what anymore by the time you've unzipped it. The descriptions on the site are only available there. I also suggest uninstalling devices that you tried but don't feel you need or, again, you'll end up with dozens of devices you have no idea what they do (people will e.g. name their reverb patch "mycatsfurrytail.m4l").

This is one of my favorites... (you need the second part of it too which is linked from the device page)
With this, you can play midi notes and it will send successive notes to different tracks. So, for example, I can create 3 tracks with 3 synths. The first note I play will go to track 1... the second note I play will go to track 2, 3rd note to third track, then back to first track. The 3 tracks could have 3 similar presets but with some variation so each note is different. Or you could have 3 different sounds and round robin them. It also allows you to mimic polyphonic pitchbend...

Do you have a link for jMorph ParameterMorph? I've searched for it, but I'm not getting anything that resemble M4L devices.

Oops, my bad, it's called MorphJ. MorphJ maps joysticks to an XY-Pad and is free. The rest (seven more morph devices) is $8.elxsound wrote:Hey wasi, wasi wrote:The Morph series (jMorph ParameterMorph, etc.), payware but cheap and the kind of device I originaly bought m4L for, but hat to wait three years to arrive.

I really love these and use them a lot. It's what I was hoping Live would integrate more 'natively', because m4L is always a bit clunky and settings are ephemeral, but alas.

Very cool... I'm bookmarking for now. I really like the preset morph, and the set is definitely cheap.wasi wrote:Oops, my bad, it's called MorphJ. MorphJ maps joysticks to an XY-Pad and is free. His other stuff looks amazing too:

Especially V Module:

The Venom editor makes me wonder if it would be possible to make a VL70m editor in M4L.

V Module looks scarily interesting. I followed the link to VIZZable here: http://zealousy.com/2011/01/vizzable/ and now I'm afraid I won't be going out this weekend. Lots to play with.aMUSEd wrote:His other stuff looks amazing too:
