This is one of the most exciting reason to get Max for Live for me.

Cool. i just upgraded to Live 9 Suite and also Max 4 Live is included with it.

I already tested a few free Max 4 Live synths and alos downloaded this now and will check it.

yes, it's a very mature freeware..since the first version was released years ago for being used by mr. Henke himself.

I got M4L from the Live 9 Suite. It's much cheaper that way.

Yeah, that was the only thing that made me contemplate upgrading to Live 9.

Too bad it's not available for Live 8.

my other favorite is the Drum Synth..that coupled with the convolution reverb are dope.

The content included with Live 9 Suite is really insane. I already downloaded around 30 GB of the included Live Packs and also some free Max 4 Live plugins.

Well, not sure if I understood you correctly, but of course it was/is available for Live 8/Max 5.

An awesome bit of kit, and incredibly generous at that.

I don't have Max for Live, but it certainly looks like an interesting & nice granular tool! Coming from Robert Henke, it's quality stuff for sure no doubt.

Yeah, top quality too, far superior to what came with Studio One and the sample based stuff is also better than what comes with Logic (and it's probably the only other DAW where the instruments and fx come close to Logic's standard)

Well, not sure if I understood you correctly, but of course it was/is available for Live 8/Max 5.

I know, but version two is not and it's much nicer.

I sense the future of their collaboration is bright. hopefully they will release more unique and solid tools like the buffer shuffler in the future.

the quality of the new content are also greater, since they are using the improved audio processors.

often compared to Granite, both has their own strength..and the conclusion from the long discussion is that both are complimenting each other nicely.
