Messing around with guitar over a simple piano theme. Mainly an ambient vibe, I suppose, with melancholy colours of course.

Thanks to all who have a listen. :)

Pretty cool. I was really digging that passage before the drums come in. And then the drums came in. Not needed for me.

I was a little concerned about the title. Mind expansion could be a good thing but Head Spreading sounds painful. :)

I needn't have worried. This warm track evokes big open spaces. I drove on a highway in Pennsylvania in the late 80s which required hours of driving in a straight line. No turns, hardly any cars, nothing to do, just going straight through vast rural green expanses. It's hard to keep your mind from wandering. Sort of like this track. (I think this paragraph took a wrong turn somewhere.)

Polyslackerific! I really enjoyed it. :tu:

I did enjoy the chill-out vibe. There's a couple moments it briefly gets a little too busy, but otherwise it was very pleasant!

Thank you Victor!... sorry about the drums. :)

Cheers Frantz! Nothing violent intended at all. Yes, driving and music seem to go so well together in different ways... can definitely feel this scenario.

Hey thanks ntom! Yes, I had to edit down, as is usually the case, from a lot of material, so perhaps my knife wasn't sharp enough.

Enjoyed this muchly. In places it was almost Floyd-ish.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

Nice track Poly !

I would have fade it out after 4:20 ...

But that cool flow of melancholic mind flashes

does prove one thing:

There's nothing more moving than REAL INSTRUMENTS
filled with human emotions !

Please more of that :)

This was much enjoyed chez Seismic. I've had quite an eventful and busy day, so this was a great piece for flushing the weekend's chaos out of my head in preparation for a fresh dose tomorrow. I liked that piano in combination with the vibrato/Leslie guitar. I was getting some driving vibes here too, but of the late-night variety, and with the rain pouring down.

Good work :)

Thanks guys!

folderol - yes, there are a couple of parts that give me a sense of Floyd... unintentional, it's just cellular at this point. :)
drumity - that direct contact and expressiveness is what brought me back to guitar, agreed! :)
Tim - glad to help, hope your week improves.

Good stuff. I could have gone for more of the distorted stuff that was in the last eighteen seconds, but otherwise no complaints here. Thanks, polyslax.

LMAO! I know, I have a bunch of nasty out-takes... I feel an experimental phase coming on. Thanks!
