Searchin' for a GATE unit but i'am not able to find nothing
that satisfy me.
Searchin' a unit with ATTACK - RELEASE - TRESHOLD parameters.
All i have found is eqquipped with TRESHOLD and RELEASE only.

Just a note about gates. Check the threshold range. If the threshold only goes down to -20dB, it will be fairly useless. A good threshold should go down to -60dB or lower.

The Alesis 3630 compressor has gates that are useless, especially for live use.

I haven't tried any hardware rack gates for about 8 years.

I should mention that I have no hands-on experience with either of those units. But, I do have a Drawmer DL241 (compressor/limiter/expander/gate), which I bought largely because I wanted a compressor with an expander/gate for recording vocals in my home studio. The DL241's gate/expander sections only have a threshold knob and a fast/slow switch for release time, but it works very well. One thing that I really like about its gate is that I never get any gate "chatter" (i.e., rapid opening/closing when the audio signal is near the threshold). I would assume that the DS201/501 are just as good, if not better.

It was quite a few years ago, but I bought a Behringer quad gate with all the usual controls - attack, release, threshold, hold, and sidechains. I'd be surprised if they don't still sell gates? I know Behringer can be a bit cheap and dodgy for some stuff, but as far as gates are concerned, it's fine. Not much to get wrong with a gate.

EDIT - having just read the last post - My old Behringer does suffer from that threshold chatter, but for most circumstances (not all obviously) having a lower threshold negates it and doesn't affect the way you work. I do remember when I bought it that it was cheaper than most equivalent stereo gates, and then you get double the gates as well. I wouldn't ever buy another Behringer compressor (got a Composer way back when), as they tend to be pretty dire, but gates are gates. Mostly and IMO.

Thomann are selling them for 109 Euro. Which is 27.25 Euro per gate channel. Pretty darn cheap if you ask me...

And despite some gripes I've heard about Behringer build quality - I think they're built like tanks. Mine's going (with no pot wobble or sticking or anything) since nearly 20 yrs ago. Even all the pretty flashing LEDs are still working (which is mostly all I actually turn it on for nowadays (
