As a part of my Bachelor Degree in Computer Science I've made a piece of software called scriptracker, it is a kind of cross between a tracker and a livecoding enviroment. It runs a LUA virtual machine and was written in openframeworks so it can be easily ported to OSX and linux.
It is in a very early alpha stage and is basically just a test to evaluate the idea. If it goes well and there is a lot of interest then I plan to add a modular enviroment, vst and au support, a very special form of a control surface mapping system, visual sequencing (doing visuals using the same variables and modules as for the audio), live clip matrix mode and A LOT more!
