I purchased a Roland Integra 7
I can't use it with Bitwing because the plugins are vst3 and AU only

I really don't understand. I have Bitwig but I can't use it. I have to use Ableton or Logic to have a full working virtual-real audio setup.
No mention to the other midi issues with midi external hardware.
Waiting for a definitive answer from the Bitwig developers.
regards

I would imagine its a decision dictated by Bitwig being crossplatform software so they focused on something that will work on all three platforms first.
There's a statement about AU-support in the FAQ on bitwig website. I recall it basically saying "maybe in the future".

I've been told VST3 is planned however I've also heard that VST3 is a nightmare to support for both plugin devs as well as hosts as it's not the simplest. U-He has had massive problems with all of their/his VST3 plugins to the point where I can't use lots of it even in Cubase =[
