Just thought I would throw an Easter egg out there, this is my current project with Bitwig, Touch4Bitwig. Uses OSC and is an Android controller app exclusively for Bitwig. This shot is just the Mixer controls; (testing on Windows but works fine on Android tablets right now)

I am planning on adding about every command that is available in the API to this app in different screens. (custom sequencers etc.)

I have to talk to Moss about if he is using that name yet.

This app is really fun so far, controlling Bitwig wireless was a dream of mine from last year.

Plus, having my own project that I wrote all the code for minus the OSC stuff Moss did, allows for really crazy expansion in the future. As well, these apps could run on the desktop, in case weird ideas surfaced about using it to automate some of Bitwig through the controller API.

Is it possible to use this app on a windows 8.1 tablet ( e.g. Lenovo Thinkpad 8 ) ?

Don't know right now. I am currently in laboratory mode. So I am not thinking about multiple platforms right now. Just that I can use my Android tablet with Push and Maschine.

I don't even use Windows 8 right now, just Windows 7 64, Xoom, Nexus7 2nd gen and I have a Mac mini/iPad AIR.

I have a really old android phone, and the back keeps falling off and the battery keeps falling out. So, can you make this into a PC program so that I can run it on the same machine that I run my Bitwig?

Well your wish already is true, it runs on Windows right now.

I know the API pretty well these days and I have a feeling there is some really interesting things I could do as a companion "app/window" to Bitwig. If you think about it, that is all it would be is a Bitwig "popup".

Notice the use of double quotes above.

Well in it's current state with the captive runtime(meaning AIR doesn't need to be installed), 10MB. Without the runtime, 600k. (the apk size)

Minimum version, well probably 2.3 but looking at google's stats, this is hardly in major usage these days.

The thing is, I don't want to put a lot of time into phone layouts right now, unless I could get funded by Bitwig, hehe. This is a project, not a product right now.

Ok, this image is where the app starts to get intriguing.

Nice 8x8 clip matrix, hmm reminds me of the Push that I worked on.

Everything is working right, Scene triggers, clip triggers, colors, even the clip names(not show as this view has small clip buttons). The little icons even change when record/stop/queued/play states changes. Bi directional with Bitwig.

This is what I was talking about with custom sequencers. Step sequencers as well.

Don't know. I really want it to be free, maybe even open source BUT, I will not say either way right now.

I just keep coming up with more ideas the more I tinker with it though.

As far as an alpha release, I have a lot of OSC performance testing todo before I will release an alpha. I need to write some custom javascript on top of the OSC4Bitwig I am using.
