If select pad with midi notes is checked in the options menu, triggering pad 2 changes the start end points set up on pad 3...weird because when I Uncheck select pad with midi notes the behavior stops....

I can't reproduce that...
System, daw, plugin type?
And is that happens on a new instance or with a reloaded session?

System: Win10, AMD A10 CPU, 64bit, 16gb ram, DAW FL Studio, VST2 instance of SpeeDrum lite,
just noticed the behavior is not there with a mouse click, only when triggered from Midi Controller M- Audio Oxygen Pro 25. Maybe a midi controller message error ... doesn't happen in the full version though

I can't reproduce that... Tested on Win10, FL Studio latest, VST2 Speedrum Lite, with 3 different controllers.

If it makes any difference, the samples on the pads started as a loop that was set to cut group 1, then copied across the first row of pads. Then the start/end times of each pad was trimmed to play different sections as one shots
