I've just purchased Architect, but I cannot find any presets. The fact that there is a category called "Factory Presets" suggests that they should be there, but I cannot find them. Am I just jumping the gun here?

I'm afraid you are: that particular beta version doesn't have the factory library. Essentially, I wanted to make sure everything was finalised in terms of design before distributing presets that would be assumed to be the canonical approach to things. I've a big - huge in fact! - update due that includes, amongst many other things, a hefty library to re-usable components and examples.
Architect, the modular MIDI toolkit, beta now available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
