Shreddage VST adding unwanted notes on different strings and frets

For as long as I've had shreddage, It doesn't allow me to play a singular note without triggering one or two more on different strings and frets. This sounds especially terrible if I'm strumming or playing a repeated thrash note, because it changes the note to a chord/inverts the chords I'm playing randomly. Is there a way to fix this?

This is probably the "Ringing" option on Advanced page (if we're talking about Shreddage 3.5 updates), IIRC this was called random resonance before.
