Two new "Acoustic" guitars have me impressed.

It's not bad, it reminds me of a silent guitar I used to have, too simple in its non resonating tone to keep forever but comfortable to play.

Here's a thing,
I've never been a fan of acoustic steel string guitars. Had several through the years. In someone else's hands they might sound great. Me, I'm reaching for a jazz box or a solid body within a half hour. I'm more interested in how they amplify or record. Nonetheless I'd love to have something that I don't have to mic up to get an acceptable tone from and can draw different sounds on the fly.
I swear Kent Nishimura has a hundred acoustic guitars and is the master of mic'ing / pups

Being able to change character of the guitar with the click of a button would save a lot of spending.
Of course developing the skillset might take longer than I have.

Is it some kind of Variax technology?
He mentioned samples about the nylon guitar.
I looked at Yamaha Silent guitar for a bit before just getting a simple Cordoba instead.

Not for me. I love good-great quality steel string acoustics. The cheap plywood models you can keep, but a beautifully hand-crafted acoustic, no bells or frills like bling, is my favourite instrument.

They keep that a mystery but I think it's more about mic'ing, eq other effects than direct sample of variax.
