Native Guitars VST for Linux

Hi, I'm a long time Linux user and recently switched my Music production environment to Fedora. I'm searching for a solid guitar sampled or physically modelled vst that would work natively on Linux (if possible with just a .so file). I'm also opened to a good sampler + sound fount but found nothing really great so far (decent sampler crashes a lot and the sound banks don't sound that great).
I know I could install Wine + yabridge to use windows plugins but because I'm using Bitwig I need to convert the flatpak to rpm and it's a mess for updates.
Do some of you know of native Linux guitar plugins that sound kinda realistic, free or not ?
Thanks.

I use only Linux-native. Audio Assault make some really good stuff, especially since they've moved to that suite-style Amp Locker. They're affordable too.
Airwindows GrindAmp is amazing. There are a couple other Airwindows ones but I barely touch them.
Guitarix (LV2 plugs or the VST3) is also great I reckon but I always use different cab IRs with it.

I second the above, for amp sims, but the question about sample/modeled guitars, I'd say, Decent Sampler, which I know you mentioned. There's some free ones and some premium ones. Plus there's ones you might not suspect like sitar that works pretty well for guitar like sounds. https://www.decentsamples.com/?s=guitar ... pe=product
You might also look at Bliss sampler: https://www.discodsp.com/bliss/ or HighLife: https://www.discodsp.com/highlife/
That said, I've sampled my own guitars over the years and it's pretty easy and rewarding to do. I love that they're my own instruments too, with all their quirks/character of playing, etc.

It's too bad they only provide a "Classical" guitar. I'd love for them to have a nice electric.

IMO it's going to be a while. current iteration of classical guitar kinda sounds like early versions of Pianoteq - cool concept, but will probably take a few versions before they get it right. electric guitars are a whole other animal and IMO none of the sampled/modeled options so far get it even somewhat close.audiojunkie wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 4:12 pmIt's too bad they only provide a "Classical" guitar. I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Yeah, I know. I'd love to have a few of Shreddage 3.5 and Orange Tree Samples guitars, but I want the interactivity between Native Instruments' Native Access 2 and Linux with WINE to work a little better with less workarounds before I invest in any of those. For now, I have to satisfy myself with SFZ sample sets of guitars, when I'm not able to play my real guitars.

I think I've been spoiled (or spoilt as the say in the uk) by real guitars. Regardless of midi advances (mpe) there are too many expressive techniques that comes with real players playing real guitars that a virtual instrument will never capture the depth and breadth the instrument(s) have to offer.
On the other hand I'm perfectly fine with contemporary ampsims/effects. I used to hate them. Pod Go will never replace real amps or effects but I've learned to live with it.
