Hi,

I am using AGML2 with Ableton Live 11. I want to use the Strummer so that when I play the chords manually on my keyboard, they play that way in the program. For example, if I play a C Major chord, it should actually play C Major; if I play an f minor, it should actually play an f minor. How do I do this? Right now, it only works by programming C Major to play by holding the note C on my keyboard, for example, or C# Major to play by holding the note C#. But what if I want to play C Major, c minor, C Major 7, C7, etc, all in the same song? It would be so much easier and more intuitive if I could simply play the chord on my keyboard and have AGML2 strum it.

Someone told me once that I can do this if I choose Detect mode and directed me to the manual. I have read the manual here https://www.amplesound.net/en/Guitar_Strummer.pdf (https://www.amplesound.net/en/Guitar_Strummer.pdf) However, using Detect does not do what I asked for above. It still requires me to choose presets before, instead of having the keyboard "detect" manually in real time as I play.

Please help. If AGML2 is not capable of this, can you please recommend another VST that has this functionality?

Thank you very much,
Joe

The manuals are referring to the current 3.7 versions. I don't expect the lite version 2.31 to behave the same because it is very old. We are talking 2016 here. In the world of software that may as well be the middle ages.

I don't think you want to use the strummer if you are playing full chords. There is the stroke noise toggle for that. Again I am not sure if that option is in the lite version.
