Strange auto pitch behaviour

Been keeping an eye on the latest betas for any change in the rendering/auto pitch/auto tempo thing. No joy yet, but I can work around it so ...

I found a thing though, latest beta (may have been there before), all tempo/detection settings turned off, use proxy file turned off, resampling algo set to since/best. Select a clip, (drum loop in my test) set markers around it, render track to a new track (marked region). On the newly rendered clip turn auto pitch ON and turn auto tempo OFF. If no root note detected, set one. It now may play back at the wrong speed (although the drawn waveform stays the same).Go to the project tempo and adjust using the slider option. The new clip may speed up or slow down, in my case it played back correctly only at 120 bpm. Toggling auto pitch on and off changed the playback speed (off - correct speed, on - wrong speed)
Is this a bad combination of settings I've got going on, can anyone else repeat it? (If so, bug?)
