Well, was sorting through some of my old cd's this morning and I happened upon a bunch of old 'tarnce' that doesn't get much listening anymore. So, I decided to listen to some and got inspired a bit. I don't normally do this style, but figured I'd share my one minute creation... I know the mixing is bad, but I jammed this out in about an hour. Hope ya' dig!

... You're pretty good... Like what you do with the kick in the end.. The only con I have Is that I would have liked a more nasty bassline

Nice. I agree with Orbitutle. The bassline could be dirtier. I really like the rest, though. Which VSTi's did you use for this?

As for the bassline... I'm not a huge fan of the dirty ones. The silky smooth rolling ones always catch my attention, and definetely push the track well, I think.

Oh, I like this quite a lot, even if I'm not into trance at all usually.
Wouldn't mind a longer version - could be great while driving.

Btw, for my likings the bass is perfect.

Wow, very good, everything else except maybe that wooshing synth with heavy stereo separation sounded really good; maybe a bit too wet sound on that.

There's never enough melodic psy out there ;)

which patch was which synth?

How did you do the 'meltdown' at the end? That would have been amazing if it came back in for more power.

Which patch for which synth?

Bass was Z3ta+
High resonance Lead was Pro53
Mocho Lead was Virus
Vocal like gated pad was embracer

End was created with some editing and careful automation on a delay plugin.

Yo quincy, thanks for listening.

...It's pretty easy to knock out decent sounding stuff when you known your equiptment like the back of your hand. Plus SX2 makes it pretty damn easy to get going.

Rock out some psy. I'd love to hear it.

But you may be forgetting that i am a talentless twat! I have rarely if ever made anything worth listening to, just always nice to admire the handywork of others

I can't figure out how you get everything so loud and so clear. That kick is one bad mutherfucker. Whatever I do I just can't get a kick as loud as that.

Damn I need more practice with these toys. :/

Hello again lindseyp. It's all a matter of having the right kick, and being able to EQ against your bassline. At that point you can limit it to exteme ammounts to get that massive sound.

Practice does make perfect... Most of the time, atleast.
