erm...

I mean snares.. how do you like em?

Here's a track that I've been experimenting with various drum techniques on. It's a vurt track, where I've attempted to add some drums. However, as per usual, I'm debating the pro's and cons of the different snares. So I thought I'd let you all listen in...

Loose : http://www.phunkynutts.com/music/vurt_v ... pffft5.mp3

Tight :

I edge towards tight myself?

I think I like the loooose snares better. The reverby room sound and long tail sounds good to me in a mix of crispy synthetic stuff.

Nice work btw... cool stuff guys! 8)

loose is great doggy-style

Dling the" loose" now.

I guess loose is winning... okay.. been changing the velocities a bit but will have a new version soon... with loose snare

Post

I like this, turning out real good!! Loose as a goose. :D

What synth is making those tones?

cheers for the comments people.. :D... here is the fifth mix down.. not much different from the other loose one.. but I've tidied things up a bit... and sorted out some velocity problems in the drums...

As for the synth work, Mr.Me.. I have no idea!.. vurt did all synth stuff, I really like what he did so stuck all the percussion and drums on after... I think vurts original thread should be in here somewhere...

Cheers
