Evol - a wonderful synth

ASynth - ditto

FMHeaven - I know you can read in DX patches, but they don't cover all the operator combinations available with FMHeaven.

ive heard presets that showed me a few synths can do what i didnt even know they were capable of. Everyone can use a few presets no matter how mcuh of an expert they are.

My vote goes to morpheus. Ive been meaning to put togetehr a bank for it but am lazy.

I rarely use presets. Not because of snobbery, but because for me, part of the fun of making music is making my own sounds, and it usually takes longer for me to search for the right preset for a song than making it myself.

thats how it is for pretty much everyone, but they can still be very helpful in showing you sounds you probably did know your synth could make (for instance, those of you who own pro 53 load up "copperpole" and "postcard from hell". did you have any idea it could do that? i do now).

Personally ive never used a preset for precision reasons, though back in the day i would use a few as starting points.

I don't own Pro-53, but you're right. Presets sell synths.

Sampling, on the other hand, can be a pain in the ass. So I would like to see many more DK+ kits

I had a partial bank done for Photone, but I lost it when I had to do an emergency reformat/reinstall a couple months ago :(
I'm working on another, though...

yeah. i think photone is the most versatile synth i ever used and it sounds FANTASTIC
i wish there were version like other vst instruments without the reaktor loader (EI2 XT got a loader too )

Post

I'm snobby. I can't use other people's presets or samples without extreme circumstances

I'd like to see more presets for EVOL as well.

I don't understand why everyone whines about EIv2XT using the Reaktor shell- the shell takes less than 2% CPU even on my humble machine.
