While at heart Poise is just a sampler, it has been designed from the ground up with drums in mind. The workflow and options available have been tweaked to this end.

First let me say that This is probably the closest to the real thing you can find in a VST. Aside from the FPC from ImageLine or Native Instruments Battery I have yet to find I a VST Drum Sampler with a better design than Poise

User Interface:
The User interface is based on the Akai MPC series, If MPC style programming is your cup of tea then you shouldn't have any problems figuring out the basic functions of Poise. The only interface problem i noticed is the GUI display seems a little slow due to the amount of cpu this thing needs

Sound:
What does it sound like?
Sounds like a drum machine, the available Filters, F/X, modulation, and enveloping will give you plenty of tools to craft squeaky clean 16 or 8 bit grimy drums.

don't forget that Poise is skinnable, check out the extra skins by "GF"; they are nice

Since I have purchased Poise There have been 4 free updates, you can't beat that

Value For Money:
Order it now you won't be sorry, or you can keep searching for a legitimate free drum sampler (good luck with that)

Stability:
Pretty stable over all, Don't change the "current" number of outputs without setting up the "default first", other than that this drum machine is rock solid
