Subatomic Software has updated Audulus to v2.8, which refines the user interface in response to feedback from users as well as Apple designers at the Apple World Wide Developer's Conference.
Audulus is a minimalist modular software synthesizer and effects processor. With Audulus, users can build synthesizers, design new sounds, or process audio. All with low latency real-time processing suitable for live performance.
Audulus 2.8 upgrades include:
- Improved graphics rendering. Sharper, faster, and consumes less memory.
- New Create menu for creating nodes and inserting patches. With integrated documentation.
- Now shows the patch name in the toolbar.
- Updated Custom Nodes so the exposed UI now can be edited right on the patch node.
- Improved labeling of inputs and outputs.
- Updated Audiobus.
- Improved on-screen keyboard.
- Documentation improvements.
- Bug fixes.
Audulus for iOS is available on the App Store for $14.99. An iPhone 4s or iPad 2 is required.
Audulus for Mac is available on the Mac App Store for $29.99.
Audulus for iOS can be used as a stand-alone instrument or in conjunction with Audulus for Mac, for a round-trip workflow between platforms. Users can begin a patch on one platform and finish it on another – iPad, iPhone or Mac – since Audulus syncs user patches via iCloud.
