AcustiX has released Steinway Piano III and Bösendorfer Piano II in HALion and SFZ formats. Both pianos have been completely resampled.
AcustiX Steinway Piano III (€69)
The AcustiX Steinway Piano III was created with the smaller equipped music workstation in mind, without compromising on sound quality. This piano uses only 70 Mb of carefully selected samples from two Steinway Grand Pianos blended together. This makes it the ideal choice for orchestration setups where other instruments besides the piano are required, fi. piano concertos.
AcustiX Bösendorfer Piano II (€99)
The AcustiX Bösendorfer Piano II uses carefully selected velocity layers sampled from a Bösendorfer concert grand piano. This piano sounds warm and lyrical in the lower velocities, full of body in the mid velocities and crystal clear in the fortes. This character makes the AcustiX Bösendorfer Piano II perfectly suited for all kinds of music ranging from Jazz to Classical and Pop Music.
The freeware SFZ Sample Player from rgc:audio is included in both piano packages (as VST and standalone).
Trial versions of each piano are available for download in SFZ and Halion formats. This trial versions are based on the same samples as the full versions but have the following limitations:
- Only one velocity layer was used (Bösendorfer) .
- All samples are limited to 2 seconds.
- Total size less than 10 MB.
