Laidman & Katsura have released version 1.1 updates of their various Audio Unit tuner plug-ins, and also for WaveWindow, their plug-in oscilloscope.

The tuners:

  • Bass Tuner AU is a plug-in tuner for bass guitar. Hands-free operation, listens while you tune. Optimized bass register pitch detection.
  • Chromatic Tuner AU is a plug-in tuner for all instruments. Uncluttered display - Note, fine tune, and pitch-tracking indicators. Hands-free operation, listens while you tune.
  • Grand Staff AU is a plug-in tuner for pianists, singers, and budding musicians. Shows single note on a Grand Staff. Hands-free operation, listens while you tune.
  • Guitar Tuner AU is a plug-in tuner for guitar. Hands-free operation. Listens while you tune.
  • Lab Meter AU is a plug-in tuner for all instruments. Note indicator, fine tune indicator & digital readout. Hands-free operation, listens while you tune.
  • Vocal Lab AU is a plug-in that helps you train to sing on key. It listens while you sing and displays the pitch of your voice on a graph, in real time. All you have to do is watch the graph while you sing and try to stay near the lines. With a little practice you can greatly improve your intonation. It can identify problem areas in your singing, and can also help improve your intonation on various instruments - Violin, Brass, Woodwinds, and more.

The tuner plug-ins costs $12 each, or $25 for all five; Vocal Lab costs $18; WaveWindow costs $12. Demo versions are available.
