MellowMuse recently released SATV Vintage Saturator, a new analogue-modelled saturation plug-in with four preset models, perfect for adding harmonic depth and richness to any material. It's available for Windows and Mac OS X in VST, AU and RTAS effect plug-in formats for $99.

The inspiration for the four preset models were:

• A - Transistor.
• B - Transformer.
• C - Tube.
• D - Tape.

Along with 4 selectable saturation models, SATV features Drive, Mix, Output, and an innovative, selectable Group mode. Group mode allows all instances of SATV in your session to be controlled from any one instance of SATV. For example, setting Drive or saturation mode on any SATV will update all other instances allowing subtle or radical changes to the character of your entire mix from any SATV. SATV's efficient CPU usage allows for high instance counts.

MellowMuse also released the EQ2V Vintage Equaliser plug-in back in July. It costs $79 and is available in the same formats as SATV.

EQ2V is a vintage-styled equalizer that recreates the presence, clarity and colour of classic analogue designs. 2nd and 3rd order harmonic color increases with output level and eq gain, adding a rich harmonic depth and warmth to any material.

  • Low Shelf, 35hz - 300hz with ±15 dB range.
