Bruno is an "old school" synthesizer with a "new modern sound" offering leads, strings, bass and have an easy to use interface. Bruno is the same as Prue Pten an impeccable job good sounding VA synth in VST format and free from bugs.
It is built in a classic way with and recalls Roland Juno 106/60 in the design. Bruno is very easy to understand and gives a clear overview of settings and sound management. Bruno has also an arpeggiator and fx section, both of which can sync to MIDI.
Burno is available in two versions, the latest called red pepper.
It works well in the V-Machine
Read ReviewBruno is the same as Pure Pten?! You must be confusing things...
You also wrote a short review of the Pure-Pten today. Or are you just bumping TubeOhm products without knowing them? :D
No, I have both Pure-Pten and Bruno-205 and like them.
When it comes to sound character is both Pure Pten and Bruno-205 very similar. The big difference is their user interface.
Gee, that was a late reply :D.
Yes, they are all SE, so they are likely to sound similar. I only got Bruno, the newer version, never tested Pure-Pten (TubeOhm chooses odd names for their synths...), but I don't really use Bruno anymore. I do like its GUI, but soundwise it can't really compete with, say, Retrologue, which costs just 10 bucks more, but plays in a completely different league, the same league as U-he and the like.
Sorry for the late reply. I have not been active in the KVR for a long time.
I understand your point. As I said they sound like modern. I personally think they sound a bit too clean and straight forward.
But I give it high marks due to TubeOhm have achieved reliability.
The second version of Bruno does have more beef, thanks to layer modes and other improvements. Maybe you get the upgrade for free, dunno. For a SE synth it can sound pretty good, actually. I just loaded the Bruno and checked a couple of patches. That is as good as it gets within the SE world. And the guy behind the company is really into his work, which is nice, One doesn't feel like it's just a business to him :).
