Mono/Stereo is a small Pro Tools AAX utility in the Sound Field category that converts a stereo stream from Left/Right to Mono/Stereo (or Sum/Difference) and vice versa.

The effect chain between instances of Mono/Stereo should contain multi-mono plugins or plugins that process channels independently.

Within the Mono/Stereo brace, L is the Mono (Sum) channel, and R is the Stereo (Difference) channel.

Mono/Stereo supports AAX Native and AAX DSP.

So where do I manually put the dmg file as it doesn't have an installer and I'm not familiar with this file format?

The installer and software works on Mac OS only. You can invoke the installer by double-clicking on the file, which will launch the Installer application with the .dmg file as its target. The Installer application takes you through the install process from that point.

Thanks for the reply! As I'm a Windows user, and have been since I moved to home studio workflow, is there any chance you will have Windows availability in the future?

We certainly plan on a universal AAX plugin, but I cannot give you a projected time, with apologies. Watch this space, though. When the day comes, it will be announced here. Many thanks for your interest.
