Inspired by the heights of the Accursed Mountains, Proclethya is a software synthesizer with analog characteristics. It was developed with three fundamental principles of analog sound: drift, noise, and distortion. The synth is simple to use which helps get great sounds fast during production.
The synth is in no way simplistic in sound, it is quite characterful thanks to its sound shaping options. The two main oscillators contain doubling mode and FM shaping to get unique timbres. It features unison for both oscillators to thicken and widen the sound. The signal can be mixed in two ways, crossfade - between the two main oscillators, or traditional mix mode with independent control for each sound generator. Onboard there are four effects to further color and enhance the sound including phaser, chorus, reverb, and delay.

Oooh...almost there. Sigh. Proclethya is a good-sounding synth (forget the effects-heavy presets!) that's just shy of greatness. It's pluses are it's easy to tweak, it's effects aren't half bad (they're serviceable), it has a nice graphic EQ, and it's arpeggiator is very good. Unfortunately, in this day and age where you can practically route any parameter in a synth's matrix, Proclethya only allows three or four (!) - Filter, Pitch, FM amount and Filter bipolar amount. I wish it could automate, for instance, the mix levels, pan filter Q or any parameter, really. Still, it is good for what it is and I do find it useful for sound design since it's so simple.

The filters sound amazing. There are 4 flavours of analog low pass filters with multiple sculpting options and healthy dose of non-linearity. There is some feedback internally but it is not adjustable. Oscillators are not too fancy but they sound good with independent drift. Great sound with 4x oversampling. It's a blast to play with full polyphony.
If you already have something like Diva this may not impress you much, but for a fraction of the price (usually goes on sale for about $20 ish) this is well worth it. Presets are okay but you need to start tweaking to unlock the synths full potential.

Really decent synth, after watching the videos I was intrigued to try it. Then I saw the offer and bought it along with a preset pack off their website.
I was really impressed, easy to use, has a really nice sound, the arp/sequencer is a pleasure to use. I hope more presets come along for it, and its found its way into my work instantly.
