SkiSwitcher2 is a second generation articulation-switching system for Logic Pro X created by composer and studio veteran Peter "Ski" Schwartz.

SkiSwitcher2 completely eliminates keyswitch chasing problems by getting the actual notes of your music to select their own articulations.

For use with keyswitching patches... Normal keyswitch notes can be used to select articulations during live performance or recording, but SkiSwitcher2 never actually records them. In fact, this system doesn't record any kind of articulation-switching "instructional events" such as keyswitch notes, CCs, program changes, or automation. Instead, the notes of your music are made to contain the articulation information they need. This means playback from any bar or beat will always sound with the correct articulations, and music viewed in the score editor is free of intrusive keyswitching notes.

For use with multi-timbral patches... SkiSwitcher2 helps eliminate "track creep" in multi-timbral setups by letting you operate them exactly like keyswitching instruments, allowing all articulations to be recorded on one track.

Additional benefits include:

Realtime Articulation Display: Scripter-based menu updates in real time to show articulation names. Easily customizable for every instrument, with no programming skills required.

Polyphonic Articulation Switching: each note in octaves and chords can play with different articulations from a single keyswitching plugin.

Easy Articulation Editing. Change the articulation of any note simply by changing its MIDI Channel using Key Commands.

Hybrid Instruments: a special kind of SkiSwitcher2 setup that seamlessly combines a keyswitching patch and one or more individual articulations. Hybrids are a great way to override articulations in keyswitch patches that you never use, or to add articulations to a keyswitching patch with fewer than 16 articulations.

"Sticky" Live Articulation Selection: For live playing, the articulation you select will always be active and can't be changed by what's playing in your track.

And much more!

A free script was sent to all registered SkiSwitcher2 customers today, a special version of the Multi-Purpose Script designed specifically for use with multi-timbral instruments. When used with this kind of plugin it provides only the most necessary item -- the customizable articulation name display -- presented within the smallest possible GUI footprint for Logic's Scripter plug. It comes with an instructional video explaining the concept, as well as easy instructions for transferring articulation name lists between the original Multi-Purpose Script and this new specialized version.
