A full concert grand, exclusively for Ableton Live. The Studio Grand Series features four distinct authentic concert grand pianos.
Downtown offers a powerful, urban sound. Its large dynamic range and impact is orientated for pop, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, and blues productions.
Downtown's 88 keys are individually sampled in various dynamics for full resonances. Integration into the Ableton Live workflow provides simplicity and instantaneous use.
Downtown's Studio Grand comes with 23 presets: including 12 pure piano presets (in stretched and equal tuning) and 9 hybrid (piano-synth) presets, combining the acoustic piano samples with Live's powerful synthesis engine.
To get the best sound, we mounted high-quality microphones in and around the pianos and used the best pre-amps and A/D converters. We captured all 88 keys with multiple dynamic layers, release samples, and sustain resonances, then optimized the data without compromising depth of expression or range. And we sampled four instruments to give you a wide variety of voices to choose from.
Each piano is prepared in stretched traditional and equal tuning.
With Ableton Live's macro controls, you have direct control over reverb, release noise volume, key noise volume, sustain resonance volume, tone, velocity, and fine tune.
The Studio Grand Series provides distinctive piano voices with uniform color and quality. Their sonorous, richly textured sound is ideal for everything from solo classical recital to pop, rock, R&B, garage, gospel, blues, or jazz.

Hi :)
I'm thinking of getting for my Ableton Live the Downtown piano or East Village piano... From the few demos I've heard in your site, I didn't get to sense deeply the difference... Which would fit more for Blues, which is "warmer"? Thank you.
