I'm putting the songs made by fellow kvrians with our plugs in this thread for easier access. Let me know if I have overlooked your song. You guys are welcome to post your work in the thread as well.

Hi!

Here are some ambient/soundtrack pieces I've made using the Kong Audio VSTis - and also the phatimized loop pack:

Ocean of the Sun (lead instrument is the mini Erhu - this came about after listening to Brian Eno...)
http://www.iainmorland.net/music/Iain_Morland-Ocean_of_the_S un.mp3

Jungle City (lead is Chineewinds - inspiration here was Peter Gabriel's soundtrack work)
http://www.iainmorland.net/music/Iain_Morland-Jungle_City.mp 3

Shrouded Library (lead is Chineewinds too - this piece was written for a fan-created Myst-esque game)
http://www.iainmorland.net/music/Iain_Morland-Shrouded_Libra ry.mp3

Thanks for the inspiring instruments!
I've created a new ambient track titled Lunar Birds, a companion to my earlier composition Ocean of the Sun.

I'm grateful to Kong Audio for generously providing the ChineeNanxiao lead instrument. Smile

Hey there,

I'm a relative newcomer to the world of softsynthesis and DAW music creation, and the kind of stuff I'm involved in is pretty different from most of what I've heard on KVR. As a result, I've been pretty intimidated about posting anything, but I wanted to at least point this one out as a thank you to some of the fine developers I've become aware of since hanging out here over the last couple years.

Semi-briefly: I got a call from a choreographer who needed a dance score, and pretty quick - this is 4 weeks before the performance. The dance had already been done once before, to live hand drumming, but she wanted different music. The catch was that it was about 8 minutes of completely laid-out meters and tempos and tempo changes. I just had to fill it all in with music. Oh, yes: the piece involves water - in fact, there is an actual water sculpture on stage that the dancers interact with. That said, she asked if I could incorporate water sounds, including rhythmically.

Yikes.

So it doesn't flow quite like a perfect piece of music, having to 'fit' on the dancers without changing their routine. And I couldn't have imagined, in an earlier lifetime, that I'd be able to do this all with a lunch-box sized computer sitting next to me. Lastly, while I've been a performer all my life, and done a fair amount of recording (as a player), I am by no means qualified to record and mix. In fact, one of the reasons I took this project on was to try and get deeper into the process, learn my tools a bit more, etc. So I'd welcome comments on how I can go the next steps; the best part is this is a work in progress, and we'll be able to revise in the future.

Thanks to...

Instruments: RMIV, CronoX3, Rhino 2, z3ta+ 1.4, Wusikstation 2.0, Tera 2.0, ChineeKong 2.0
Assitance: energyXT, Chainer
FX: RoomVerb M2, Glaceverb, Sonitus EQ
Host: Sonar

Oh yeah, the tune:
Tidal Falls (10mb, 10 minutes)

Cheers,
Envoy

hey,

I checked out your DiZi Articulation packs- very cool Smile

I mixed some sounds from them with some other chinese and japanese instuments like an erhu, shakuhachi, ocarina and koto and made a little loop out of them.

Between China and Japan

#Singline Studio has made a promo video which employs several of our plugins. Quite interesting.
Note: it's a draft, with greatly reduced quality to minimize the file size.

#A new single EP released in Mainland China shows off the excellent usage of Chinee Pipa (Winds and Erhu are also used here). This tune is now one of our official Chinee Pipa audio demos.

Tagirijus, thanks for the compliment on Ocean of the Sun! Smile

I enjoyed your piece, it sounds very cinematic. I particularly like the brass parts - they sound very realistic. The percussion suits the mood but I wonder if it would better with more reverb? Smile

Here's a song I made using ChineeKong in FL Studio 6.

http://mejiatryti.com/Ivar2/Dummyplug-Chasing_wemic.mp3

I was inspired by a book called The Magehound: The two main characters are chased through back-alleys in a southern city by a wemic (half man, half lion) with a huge sword.

Just came across this young man's works. A few of them (such as this one) are made with lots of ChineeKong percussions. Quite nice.
