Out of interest, is there currently an efficient way of getting samples from audio tracks into the drum slots?
It's a rave, Lewis!

Yeah, I think it's been said before, but if you could load up a break, slice it, convert it to a kit, program with it (esp if we got stuff like flam and pitch control) (and the note entry for the drum track was sorted), render it to an audio track, pitch it down, stick chorus on it, slice it again, load it into another drum track, program on it some more, bounce it down again, run it through some distortion and then pitch shift and reverse selected bits of it, you'd probably have the software to finally tempt the breakcore nerds away from their trackers. And that's not light years beyond what we've got at the moment.

So yeah, definitely looking forward to beat slicing.

yeah, and you wouldn't need the bitcrusher anymore either, so you'd save cpu as well... :hihi:

I'm still disappointed that none of the core features/needs
like multi-processor support are adressed in the "coming next" :-(
Hmmm, how was it ever possible to produce music on a computer with a single core only? Wasn't that the standard till just about one year ago?

Sure Jorgen should soon implement it and hopefully the code base is suitable for this, but is it really such a ultra high important core feature right now?

:?:
Patrik
hmm ... lets see ... i had a 3,2ghz athlon ... now i have a quadcore 2,5ghz each core ... f if xt2 stcks to just one core, i missed 700mhz ...
should pretty much answer your question, no ;)

Wait a second, with the send levels on the drum tracks...couldn't they be used as a workaround for multiouts? I mean just send 100% of each drumsample to a different track and there yoy go.

:o

never thought of that but i sure will be trying it out first thing when i get the beta :)

thanks for the idea,

we might get lucky & find multi out as a option in the "New Drum Editor"

but i guess something that big would be in the coming next list

you guys voted for another mod. can we get an additional developer, too? LOL

I come in here every weekend and beside seeing some enthusiastic "groupies", nothing changed.
especially not the state XT2 is in.

this is a disappointing, really.

I hope XT2 is "ready" before Judgment Day.
wanna go "home" with my own version of "Highway to Hell", but XT2 still crashes.

(for the American members of the forum, please look up "humor" & "sarcasm" LOL).

see ya in a month or two.

Looking forward to this new update! I hope we'll be able to zoom in on samples to set the start point more precisely in the drum or synth/sampler.
