"textured noise"
oddly crunchy whimpers, it sounds like an android being wrung through a series of very odd mechanical devices
even to me this is a very visual stream of auditory events

interesting...
i appreciate, in both chronology and also mastering process, how many aggressive aspects of these sonic textures are tempered and contrated by short silences, delay effects and smooth (sinusoïdal) sounds

without these it would be borderline unlistenable (for most people). :-)

Interesting that you refer to this one as textured noise - sure, this is a rugged landscape of incredible sounds, but this also sounds more melodic to me than a lot of your tracks. I thought you were going to bust into a full on solo at one point with that mellow synth. Anyhow, very engaging as always Rick, really enjoyed it.

I agree and other than that, you need many un-musical events to appreciate the few almost melodic elements imhorachmiel wrote:Krakatau wrote:interesting...

I had a great time trying to describe the rick scott experience to some just-starting-out electronic musicians today.
