Tracktion lock up when importing file

Don't know what's going on. I'm having trouble importing mp3 and wav files into Tracktion recently. I create the files on a TASCAM DR-1(either mp3 or wav) and place the files in "My Documents". Then from Tracktion I import them. Recently it has been locking up my machine. No "ctrl+alt+delete" response at all. Machine runs XP service pack 3, AMP Sempron 2800, 1.6 GHz, 2 Gig of RAM. CPU % bar not showing much usage.

I'd appreciate any leads on what to do. Thanks.
