FFT Questions

Well, umm firstly... what? What is FFT really, i've tried to read up on it and it just confuses me more... Can anyone perhaps give me an example of a really simple implementation of a plugin using FFT so i can see what it does and how it does it.

Any help is greatly apprecaited.

Hi!
Have you seen "Graphic Equalizer.component"?
It's in your /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder.
You can see how it works from File/Open plugin... menu.

I presume you mean the one that comes with Sonic Birth?

hmm.. checked it out, helped a bit, but still confused. Whats up with the FFT generator? still not 100% sure how it all works, thanks for the help though

Hi!
You can play sounds with FFT gen and Points freq.
Just connect them as follows:
PoinstFreq>FFTgen>output(channel0)
Start sound server,and you can hear the FFTgen's sound.
You can play it by double-clicking,drugging and deleting points.
