audio files missing when useing vst XT2?

Hello,

i have a track in XT2 that uses audio files in the sequencer, i load this project in the vst version of XT2, all is well, i save my host that has the vst version of XT2 in, when i recall this track XT2 vst loads everything fine but the audio files? (they are just missing?)

even using XT2 inside XT2 this happens?

Yes, you're right.
I did not yet use the VST version of XT2, so I had no experience with this.
But I just tried now what you described and in fact the audio files are 'lost' in this case - even if using XT2-VST inside XT2.
I didn't find a way how this could be avoided.

I hope you'll get a response from support after the weekend.

any word on this?

its a real pain when all your audio is gone when you open a project & the only way to get it back is to revert to the saved xt file you originally loaded to the vst

not personally,

i assumed he would post here if he had more info or a fix,

i guess the vst needs to write absolute paths to vst_preset/host

how easy that would be to just add as a layer i have no idea
