I thought that was what you meant, but I just wanted to be sure! Thanks for the in-depth description: I've added it to the feature request list.
After I've got native 64-bit versions of the entire product line out, improved preset browsing will be the next big change I want to focus on, so 'sub-presets' (or whatever you want to call this feature) will probably fit rather nicely into this.
Thanks again for the feedback and suggestions.

Oh yeah! I 'll most likely own it buy the end of the daydsp music wrote:Go for it Abstractcats. Sequent is quite addictive, I'm sure you won't regret it. The more I use it the more I love it (as I realize the potential). You owe that to your music![]()
Oh, I also own Sugarbytes Effectirx and the two really compliment each other!
I strongly recommend trying the two plug ins to gather
EDIT: Now my music can have it! I'm now a registered Loomer customer as I have purchased a copy of Sequent... so little money, so much POWAAH!! ahhaaaahhhaaa!!
No beat is safe now!!
Great work loomer!!
Thanks, ScottAC

Not at the moment - Sequent is currently only available in 32-bit - but there will be soon. How soon depends on what operating system and plugin format you are interested in: the next Sequent release (which, alongside the next release of Shift, is our current priority) will come in 64-bit native VST for Windows, and 64-bit native AudioUnit Mac OS X.
(64-bit Linux and Mac VST formats are also on the agenda, although not in the next Sequent release. Perhaps Sequent 1.3?)

Oh, that's not so good! Whilst hopefully 64-bit windows VSTs aren't too far off, I may be able to do something about this problem in the meantime. When exactly does it crash: is it a seemingly random thing, or when you do something specific?

Since the update hasnt been out yet, I thought i'll give more feature requests
.... Like a stretch block, with control over grainsize etc (a bit like the one in Effectrix for example).

Nice suggestion; I've added it the future features list, thanks! Regarding the Sequent 1.1 update, it is literally at the final pre-release stage now: we've just the documentation to update, and some last testing. Provided this testing doesn't reveal any show-stopping bugs, should be available early next week.

TBH, I'm not that much in a rush ... I'm on holidays abroad but was thinking about it. It haunts my dreams
Still very happy to hear it's soon to be out. I confess I didn't notice the announcement topic (I just searched my previous posts).

I'm very pleased to announce that, as promised last week, Sequent has a major update: Sequent 1.1.2 is now available: download it here. This update has addressed all the workflow suggestions we've received, and features a much sleeker modular routing interface. It also sees the inclusion of native 64-bit plugins, something that will please those having problems bridging the 32-bit Windows VST. Finally, we've updated to the new preset browser (as premiered in Aspect 1.6), and additionally added support for component level presets to each individual effect.

This release adds the following features and fixes:

This release adds the following features and fixes:
- Native 64-bit plugin for Windows (VST) and Mac OS X (Audio Unit).
- Integrated Preset Browser, with meta-data, tags, searching, and hot-swap support.
- Component Level Preset Support: create partial presets for each Effect.
- Effects in the Modular routing window now can be toggled on and off by double-clicking them.
- Unused Effects can be removed from the Routing window.
- Cables in the Routing window can be removed by right-clicking on them.
- A cable can now be created by dragging from an Effect's Input to another Effect's Output.
- Fixed: Gate Depth or Slew Time would jump to 0% when linking the Gate Depth or Gate Slew Time sequencer.
- Fixed: Editing the Delay Time Sequencer would sometimes cause the current Delay Time to change.
- Fixed: The same connection could be made multiple times from an Effect to an Output.
- Fixed: Rare crash could occur when loading several presets in quick succession.
- Fixed: Synced Delay time in the Sequencer window is now displayed correctly.
- Fixed: Various host compatibility fixes.

This effect is amazing, and the interface is slick.
Have you ever considered a group-buy ?
One question, also : can it be routed as a true stereo processor (Left/right, each channel having its own effect chain) ?

@sinkmusic Thanks, glad you like it! Unfortunately, we have no plans for a group buy at the moment, sorry.
No, Sequent doesn't allow separate L/R processing, but it's a good idea - I'll add it the features request list.

I love multi-effects and I'm always on the look out for new ones, even though it is very easy to make effect chains in my host (Sonar) and click+drag to change the effect order.CPB wrote:@Madrayken Version 1.0 will have seven effect blocks: a Looper (glitcher/beat repeater), 2 x Filters, Delay, Distortion, Pan, and a Gate.
Sequent looks very cool indeed, however, it misses some of the more standard effects like chorus, phaser, pitch shifter, etc. Do you think these will be implemented at a later date ?
I already use a multi-effect plugin (which does give me all effect types I would want) but this one does not allow to rearrange the effect order easily.
So Sequent will be on my watched list.

+1 for independant L/R processing but tbh I can't see how they could do it without making it a big mess, and easy to keep focus on each side process...sinkmusic wrote:One question, also : can it be routed as a true stereo processor (Left/right, each channel having its own effect chain) ?
Now probably easier to do it inside the host, as having two channels (each with one side as the input) each with its own sequent.
There's actually a pitch shifter inside the Looper block but I agree it'd be better to have it as a separate block.himalaya wrote:Sequent looks very cool indeed, however, it misses some of the more standard effects like chorus, phaser, pitch shifter, etc. Do you think these will be implemented at a later date ?
As for chorus/phasing/flanging, I requested already a modulation block and IIRC it's been noted on their feature request list (though not implemented yet
I think I know which effect you're talking about :pI already use a multi-effect plugin (which does give me all effect types I would want) but this one does not allow to rearrange the effect order easily.
Anyway, not only Sequent allows you to reorder effects but also to have different routings, it also has two outputs so you can parallel process sounds, which is as far as I know the only one doing this (in these kinds of effects I mean).
As you can see I'm a big Sequent fan and the more I use it, the more I love it.
Can't wait to be back home and use the update. Tried the new preset management quickly on Live demo and man it's a great idea to be able to load block presets just by clicking on it (as a kind of preview in the current chain) and be able to just cancel if one decides it was good as it was... Clever

Thanks for the positive impressions, guys! 'Hot-swapping' presets took a lot of work, but, judging by everyone's glowing praise for this feature, it was time well spent.
Regarding new effects, I expect that this is the area in which Sequent will expand in future updates, although we don't have any concrete plans for which effect types we will be implementing, or indeed when. Democracy rules: the more people who ask for a certain effect, the more likely it is that it will be included, but with effect suggestions ranging from 'wave players' to a 'lua scripting effect', I can't guarantee that every suggestion will be implemented. (Pitch shifter is a popular request though...)
You can, with a little ingenuity, build other effect types using Sequent's current effect modules: The preset 'Homebrew Flanger' is a good example of using the Delay with a sequenced Time parameter to build a simple modulation effect.
Thanks again, and keep the suggestions coming by all means.
