I'd love to hear your thoughts on this short article I wrote for the Orange Tree Samples blog: http://www.orangetreesamples.com/blog/2011/02/the-uncanny-valley/
It's something that's been in draft for a while now, but I just had the time to finish it. What do you think about the whole issue? Honestly, I'm convinced that scripted intelligence powering the samples is the way to go. I mean, you can get by with traditional, plain samples through sequencing magic, but that heavily requires knowledge of the instrument as well as an ear for the instrument you're replicating. Not to mention it takes a lot of time... Anyway, I'm still really amazed and excited about what's possible through KONTAKT scripting.
