VST3 did not make it into this update, but its next on the list and will come very soon

not a problem.....I too prefer the jagged graphics for now....the 100% screen was problematic for my 47 year old eyes.
thanks for the response.

I just bought 3 expansions 2 days ago. I wish refx had sent an email about this update before..
Does Kamui 2 work with the 'old' nexus 2 or do i need this update to use it? I'm kind of fond to my black skin and it seems there are issues with the gui.

Hmm, good question on if Kamui 2 will work with older version... I upgraded before trying Kamui 2.

I'm a registered user too, got sweet f**k all about the sale or update. Their support is indeed excellent, one of the best out there, but interacting with the general populace is not REFX's forte, hence the abrupt closure of the support forum with no word of explanation.randyandyvandaman wrote:Have to disagree with you on this one.Or an email informing you of the new version or hey, there's a sale on.
Customer relations is, ahem, not REFX's thing
I as a registered customer got an email informing me of forthcoming update and new soundbanks.
Sometimes it also pays to actually check their website for details.
Besides MSVS said several months ago to check for 64 bit update before xmas and he has delivered.
Customer relations is handled by Mike and Eva and I guarantee if you fill in a support ticket you will be answered.
I expect to pay for V3 when it becomes self programmable.
Cheers

oh by the way...and I guess I should ask on the support portal too, is there anyway to make ultra quality the default for every instance?
thanks

Thanksrandyandyvandaman wrote:Nice post Grymjack. I'm sure a lot of companies could benefit from you're graphics experience.Again, tough problem to solve and I'm grateful for the additional option, just some observations.

One more thought; vector format would be the ultimate solution, but it poses a significant problem as msvs suggested since the current UI is 3D rendered.
Designing all vector stuff can be more challenging than raster, but depending on the goal, near photo-realism can still be achieved with enough patience and attention to detail.
Vector graphics may add to CPU load though? If so, a proxy or something could be used; where source vectors (for example SVG) kept on disk at a base size are then rasterized upon choosing new size.
This would add a lot of complexity for a minor feature addition I think, but it would give the benefit of a lower cost raster in use (assuming vectors cost CPU cycles to draw), while still affording the flexibility of vector for design/legibility.
This re-sizing stuff is a really hard problem to solve without pissing everyone off.
I don't envy the life of a plugin developer. Give an inch and we want a mile.
Being balls honest, the 200% mode is much easier to see without glasses, even though it dominates my 1680x1050 display.
I'm curious what the catalyst was for this option? Live performance at a distance?

I'm happy to continue with 32 bit version at the moment and as I stand up when working the GUI is fine from a 52 inch LCD.

a larger gui was my first complaint...all the tons of presets with the pint size gui was harder to access for me... and no I dont think they did it for me.. but this was my number one gripe with nexus2 and I am glad it was addressed, at least in part for now.
