what a sick synth! just bought today.

hey loomer, just bought a copy of aspect today. man this synth rocks! i, like the majority of kvr users never heard of this synth. i discovered it on the kvr vst search. i put it in my plugin folder in a 'meh' sort of way. at first i didn't like it but once i started programing it i was like i got have this synth!

how the hell did you get the cpu that low??? this synth is my dream synth. i wanted a synth that has the following features, next/previous/scroll wheel enabled, single screen gui, easy to learn but more complex as you grow with it, low cpu, basic but powerful modulation. 'nothing too hard/time consuming' quick to program without sacrificing features, nice easy on the eyes and cheerful non dark interface, not too big not to small, lastly compatible with my obsessive compulsive disorder "love how the param numbers are shown always as i have a tendency to constantly check the param numbers to make sure a knob/slider hasn't changed but with aspect the numbers are always there!

you got everything right on aspect. the most interesting thing about aspect was that the moment i heard it i felt like, where have i heard this sound??? then i thought, guitar center, the roland gaia! actually aspect sounds like numerous hardware synths not just gaia. tbh, ive never heard any synth that sounds like the hardware synths at guitar center. (ive never owned any hardware synth besides the cs1x which i returned the next day after buying and went back to software)so for me to come to this conclusion about the 'sound' and then reading online that aspect is meant to sound like an sh-01 id say that a pretty good example about how successful you were at designing aspect

What a beautiful,warm and full sounding beast! Can you really improve on perfection? Tweakers paradise on steroids.I LOVE building sounds from scratch and if never had to leave the house ............

I have to jump in o this topic; I use aspect for some time and yes, it's fantastic.

It is updated regularly and loomer's service is great.

I think Loomer plugins (I own them all) are underrated.

After ages of playing with the demo version (on and off...) I finally took the plunge today. I actually sold some hardware and with the funds I bought Aspect, er, and an ipad. Nice little setup now.

Really digging the old school modular vibes, think early radiophonic workshop or pre-Oxygene Jarre This synth sounds sweet with a touch of reverb and delay.

Can't wait to see what 1.8 will bring.

It's been a while since such info. Anything you'd like to share with us yet on what you're working on in Loomer's labs?

I'm on the very cusp of the official announcement of 'the next product', which does indeed include virtual cables, but isn't a synth. (Confusingly enough though, the virtual cable code IS lifted straight from R & D for another potential synth.)

Post new-product release, the general roadmap for major development until the end of 2012/early 2012 tentatively consists of: Aspect 2; other plug-in formats (LV2, AAX, perhaps VST3, perhaps even Rack Extensions. Evaluation as to what iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile can do for us); new website; and perhaps one other major (ie, version 2) product upgrade. Got quite a few prototype effects that could also be turned into full products, but I'd hate to hype up what at the moment are merely interesting concepts. As always, time is really the limiting factor, although the recent framework changes have hopefully sped up what we know to the biggest development time-sinks.
