probably enough differences to make a true versus thread useless, but maybe thoughts on both to go along with my testing
thanks
i'm liking the pulse-tec for mids..i'm liking the 6144 for highs..i wonder if that plug you linked has the same silky highs as the 6144...i can't use it though as i am on a macscalawag wrote:Just bought Pulse-tec and it sounds great!!
I don't have DDMF 6144 but i do have the free J1000 PQ33 that emulates it, and it also sound very good.

that's the thing...i don't have speakers other than my laptop internals, and the headphones i'm using aren't 'studio-phile'.....i have no other choice at the moment, but i think i can still make out the differencesCompyfox wrote:Let your ears decide, not your wallet.
the price is not high at all unless you are short of cash....as i said, i'm not sure i can afford either...the thing is that i can get the nomad factory for 25 dollars till the end of april but the 6144 will remain $29....docdued wrote:Huh? But the 6144 price is too high?el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: i'm not sure i can afford either, but the nomad is at a price that is making me think about itNever heard of that before...
May you provide us with the link with such price for pulse-tec, please.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:the price is not high at all unless you are short of cash....as i said, i'm not sure i can afford either...the thing is that i can get the nomad factory for 25 dollars till the end of april but the 6144 will remain $29....docdued wrote:Huh? if i had the money, i'd just take a punt on both, but seeing as i don't i don't want to get something i don't need....the nomad might be a no-brainer, but if i don't need it..................
if i choose the 6144 over the nomad i'll probably hold off buying it for a while, but i don't want to miss the nomad if it turns out to be great

someone on another thread posted the price at $24.50...i think that's after 2 discounts, one general one for it being the month of april, and another as a member of kvr...i'll see if uncle E will confirm and give us the final price (have already confirmed the offer lasts till end of april, hence this thread)
there's some text underneath the link in my postIgro wrote:Thank you. It shows 30$ though.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:http://www.jrrshop.com/catalog/nomad-fa ... 659c26acc2Igro wrote: May you provide us with the link with such price for pulse-tec, please.
