Can anyone recommend a decent 64-bit audio editor that accepts VST plugins for processing? All info appreciated! ---- My bloggity blog: http://the-serpents-fang.blogspot.com/ Red Room Authors Page: http://redroom.com/member/edward-averill Tracktion 4 and proud of it! GO T4! |

What do you need 64 bit for in an audio editor? Effect plugins don't need that much memory...(Or if they do, you probably are using some broken plugins...) |

Other than using a host, I don't know if there is one. I think soundforge is still 32 isn't it? |

Don't know how much that one has evolved since I last checked it. I do all my audio editing inside Reaper, see no use for another standalone application. ---- TINY METAL IMPACT - UPDATE Mar 1st '13 - available for Kontakt 4.2+ I guess one could call lead poisoning an ironic death. |

Sound Forge is indeed 32-bit, at least the low-end version I'm using is.
Thing is, all my plugins are 64 bit now and shared between Reaper and Orion. Re-registering the 32-bit versions of the tons of plugins I have would be painful, and I'm starting to hit the limits of what I can do with my field recordings with SF Studio. I'll check into Wavelab - thanks! ---- My bloggity blog: http://the-serpents-fang.blogspot.com/ Red Room Authors Page: http://redroom.com/member/edward-averill Tracktion 4 and proud of it! GO T4! |

If you've got reaper anyway... what d'you need another editor for?
Reaper can do it all. ---- TINY METAL IMPACT - UPDATE Mar 1st '13 - available for Kontakt 4.2+ I guess one could call lead poisoning an ironic death. |
