+1 ttoz!
Still the most intuitive UI a decade later. If you have downloaded T3, then you should have zplane's élastique time stretch option available. It was on the feature list back in 2008 when Mackie released the Tracktion 3 'Lifetime' Edition.

Sadly, it seems no one at Mackie cares to read anymore, let alone 'Do the Right Thing'.I can only hope that someone at Mackie is reading this....
MAKE IT OPEN SOURCE PLEASE MACKIE, PLEASE, or DO SOMETHING WITH IT

Since I'm way up on the north end of the planet, I use T3 on Win7 64bit. After some experimentation with the install config (not on the Windows system drive) it is completely stable and is my guilty pleasure DAW of choice. Fast and fun!
If you can get it to run stable on your shiny system, that could open a new renaissance era for many still grieving Mac groundhogs. Good luck. We're pulling for you!

I loved the bouce with tails option in T3. No more truncated delays or reverb tails, and the bounced track was always trimmed to a correct length.
I suggested this on the Studio One forums, and the response was 'why would you want to do that?'. For the life of me, I can't work out why you wouldn't want to do that.
Despite drag and drop functionality - and multiple instances combined with powerful CPUs, does everybody just still use busses for that vintage 'overcomplex path' vibe?

"With any Audio Track that has effects inserted on its corresponding channel selected, right-click on the Track and select Transform to Rendered Audio from the context menu. Check Preserve Realtime State if you would like to be able to transform back to the original Track. Specify a Tail amount in seconds if there is a delay, reverb, or similar effect that you will want to render beyond the Event length on the Track.
Click OK, and the Audio Track will be bounced, with its insert effects; then the original Audio Track will replaced with the newly bounced audio on a new Audio Track with the same name. If a Tail amount was specified, you will notice that fade-outs have been applied automatically across the specified Tail duration for each Event. The insert effects will not be inserted on the new track, as they
have been rendered into the audio on the Track."

specifically, it's the zero point auto selection that I like the most - otherwise, it's 'guess how long your FX last for', which for longer delays or mixed effects is a crapshoot. Tracktion would render until it heard silence, and without prompting for details would present you with a perfectly trimmed track for as long as it took for your effects to fade to nothing. S1's method is less precise, and is far more likely to produce either truncated tails or unnecessarily long clips.standalone wrote:Studio One manual:danbroad wrote:I loved the bouce with tails option in T3.
