I don't know which "lead" you're talking about, to be honest. Care to post a video and a timestamp?

Anyway - I see he's holding a competition to remix this track over at beatport, so I figured it might help you out a little to have the sounds solo'd - in terms of recreating the sounds, or figuring out the notes.

You probably should go learn that before "producing" music then.

I had a go making up the chords by ear as I don't play piano.

Seems close enough for the most part i think.

http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/45151657/file.html

(The solid notes)
Cmaj
A#Maj(Inverted Root)
A#Maj
EbMaj
EbMaj(Inverted 7th)
AbMaj
G#Sus4
GMaj
A#Maj

Can't figure out what key it's in though, Beatport says C Minor but that doesnt seem right.

Putting that together with my notes and you pretty much have the whole song there.

Best guess at key for the kick? I've been using B but I'm not sure I'm spot on.

I'm not sure if this is relevant to what the original poster was looking for, but I've been working on transcribing the Moog part, and I agree with Local Hero's chord progression.

The track is in C minor, but he modulates to C major in bar 7, which really makes this progression fantastic, in my opinion.

Here's a link to my work on recreating this part so far:

It's probably not quite exact yet, but it's getting close.
