Hey im trying to create a sound that is just in this track at 1.39
its the mechanical style noise, kind of like a drill, at first i thought a saw with some fast pitch modulation on it, however here is my example (which is basically what i mentioned) i also put an envelope on the pitch to give it the bending charatistic it has but still nothing -

i tried searching youtube but although there are a few screamer tutorials i couldnt get anything close to mine
Thanks in advance!!

Yeah hopefully! - Also, i love this track, i seen it rock 80,000 people at tomorrowland and really liked the track,
but am i right in saying it is very poorly mixed, in terms of distortion everywhere etc. i know this may be the sound they are going for, but it sounds like it has been ripped from a set, when infact it isnt
Wondering if it is just me or anybody else noticed
Cheers

I've been wondering the same thing, occasionally tried to create a sound like that myself.
Isn't it just a high-pitch wobble?
Can't make out if the filter cutoff is 'wobbling' really fast or terribly slow, but it sounds like just a high and distorted bass sound.
EDIT: Also can't make out whether the screechy distortion is an effect over the whole frequency range, or just introduced by a really steep filter. Dunno. Experiment.
Try jumping 3 or even 4 octaves higher from the note your wobble bass would play at the positions you want it to sound like that, and then experiement with the cutoff LFO.

Cheers Froqqer... I'll give it a go!Froqqer wrote:There's a free mutant bank on cakewalk.com for z3ta+2 That has a patch that sounds quite similar.3nacanti Lazer.
Is that the Mutant Rebellion bank by Xenos?
EDIT: Must be the Mutant Rebellion bank cause i can't find anything else that's got "Mutant" in it on the CW apart from that!?
