i'm using shreddage 2 in fls, i normally just use my mouse to compose, i can trigger most of the articulations but i don't seem to be able to produce the slides, i've watched the demo video that shows how to do it but i just can't make them happen. i bought a midi keyboard controller thinking that would help but i'm still having the same problem. can some one please put me out of my misery, am i missing something obvious?

Hey man, all you need to trigger portamentos are three things.

1. Make sure portamentos are enabled (button will turn white). You can do this on the front page (performance page) or the Articulations page on the UI.

2. Make two overlapping notes.

3. Make the SECOND note between velocities 2-59 or so. You can change this velocity range in the Articulations page.

Boom, done!
