Recording strum patterns

I've been playing around with the plugins and one thing confuses me, I want to record the strum patterns but don't know how to.
I know how to create a strum pattern and save it then load it as shown in one of the video tutorials. Say if you load your strumming pattern in and you have a few chords, how do you integrate that into the project? I'm having trouble figuring how to do so.
Appreciate all answers,
Thank You

When you record a strumming pattern in, it only preserves the strum keys (full down/upstroke keys, single string keys) and effects keys, but strips out the chords if the strumming pattern you're transferring into Evolution has chords in the MIDI data. All the strumming pattern keys do is act like a shortcut to play that pattern. It also makes it easier to play a complex strumming pattern live from your keyboard. The main thing is that you'll have to play in the chords you want the strumming pattern to use, since the patterns don't include that information.

thanks for the quick reply
I understand I have to play the chords to get the strumming pattern as I've watched your video tutorials (exceptionally helpful btw) and I think I'm explaining myself incorrectly.
I know how to record the strum pattern so let's say I lay down a chord progression, I 'Arm' it and save it, then load it up, when I go to the last key (keyswitch?) and press it, I hear the melody being played back but how do I integrate it into my actual project as I don't want live, I want it to be recorded so I can lay down the drums and other instruments.

Are you talking about how to integrate the strumming pattern into your project AFTER you've created a strumming pattern file?

It doesn't matter whether I created the strumming pattern or not, even if you load it up for the database I'm asking how you integrate it into your project so when you playback, it causes a strumming sound not just the chords that I've recorded.Gregjazz wrote:Are you talking about how to integrate the strumming pattern into your project AFTER you've created a strumming pattern file?
But what you said is what I'm asking for, I've got some chords that I want to strum and want to learn how to integrate it into my project so I can play it back. I've been frustrated trying to figure it out for days and can't seem to figure it out, please help.
