Hey all, I'm hoping some of you could help me out and recommend some plugins (free is preferred, but I wouldn't mind paying if they're good enough).
I recently picked up an Arturia Minibrute monosynth and am loving the sounds I can get out of it. One thing I've noticed however, is how much better it sounds with a touch of chorus and reverb to fatten up the sounds a little bit, especially the mid-high range sounds.
I saw a youtube video (SonicState I think?) where they used a RingThing along with it to essentially add an extra oscillator to it, which they could then detune as they pleased to give it a "chord" sound. Unfortunately, a RingThing is kinda out of my price range, but I would love it if there were any plugins that could do the same thing.
Something that I could detune to make a chord would be preferable, but I'm curious about anything that could alter and add pitch to audio-in in realtime, add harmonics, give a unison effect, etc. As it is now, I have to resample into my software sampler, which is time consuming and so not optimal.
I feel like there has to be a few things that do this, but I'm not really sure what they would be called or where to start. So, I'm hoping some of you could help me!
Please let me know if you need more info or if I'm being unclear, and I'll clear up anything I can.
Thank you in advance! I look forward to any suggestions.

Lot of ways. Recent Microshift by SoundToys does this, and also JRR has Anatares Harmony Engine that could be used for such purpose on sale.
It's all about the wavelets. I dream of the perfect additive synthesis.

Cool, thank you! If there truly are lots of ways, I'm open to hearing as many as possible!
Microshift looks good, but not being able to manually detune it is kind of a downer.
Harmony engine looks awesome! I definitely don't need something that complex, but something similar for a cheaper price (or free!) would be amazing. Otherwise, I'll try the demo and put it on my wishlist if it does what I think it does).
Thanks again, and the more suggestions, the better!

Thanks for the tip, but I'm looking for plugins so that I don't have to do this kind of stuff (for me, it would actually be easier to put it into a sampler) so that I can work on more efficient sound design (i.e. know what it sounds like before making a melody so that I can tweak the sound as I'm working).
Also thanks musikmachine, will give that one a look!

Here are my "beef up my monosynth" plugs (a few trusted ones):
Unison:
Superfake by WOK
Chorus:
Most knobs: Azurite by distorque
Most smooth: Dust Bucket by Signaldust
Most metallic: RoChor by Osiris
"Bode Frequency Shifting" or "Single Sideband Modulation" (maybe the RingThing you mentioned):
Full Bucket's Frequency Shifter by Full Bucket Music"
Cheers,
Sebastian

You'll get that type of "pitch shifting" from AudioDamage Discord. The pitch shifter in Eventide H3000 Factory has the best sound quality, but that plugin is over your budget.

If it is for live use with a hardware synth, other kvrers already suggested enough solutions.
But for a software monosynth, it really is best to just spawn as many instances of it as you want (CPU usage is the limit) and randomly modulate the fine tune knob and send -12+12 semitones MIDI to few of them.
It is like having a real choir vs just one man and a chorus plugin.

Waves' doubler is frequently on sale or bundled nicely with other stuff. An amazing palette of flavors in the included presets for getting a nice fat sound out of any mono/solo sound.
